I have encounters the same problem but i no use vlan tagging in VM !
In my case this is a VM with two vNics, and they are not configuring (0.0.0.0).

For find them (between 26ESX server, 400VMs, and virtual center down...) i search in virtual center log (vpxd-X.txt) and i see on last ESX scan before crash.
